Celebrating Inclusion Week

Around 60 members of InterInvest came together recently to celebrate National Inclusion Week in London at a party hosted by the LGBT network of our member firm, Legal & General Investment Management.

National Inclusion Week is an annual event that takes place at workplaces across the UK. Firms host a range of activities and events to highlight the importance of inclusion.

Organiser of the event, and co-chair of InterInvest, Deon Pillay said: “Its inspiring to see some many industry peers support our drive for inclusion;  collectively we can make a visible difference.”

Chair, Cathy Denyer O’Leary, added: “It’s incredibly important that the investment industry take diversity and inclusion initiatives for what they can be, not ‘just’ the right thing to do but a proven way to improve employee engagement and drive firm performance. Seeing senior stakeholders in firms in the industry celebrate inclusion week places importance on this topic which allows underrepresented groups feel seen and heard.”
