Our stories are what make us unique, and they connect us to each other in profound ways. During South Asian Heritage Month 2023, we want to explore a range of themes, from identity and community to gender, faith, and family.
On the day, we will be hearing career stories from our diverse panel including Vanisha Thakrar, Ryan Chatha, Shamial Afzal, Nalini Solanki, and two external speakers – Director of Cybersecurity recruitment agency LT Harper Kunjal Tanna and co-founder of SAHM, Jasvir Singh. Indian classical dance from Padmalaya Praharaj
So join us in celebrating the richness and diversity of our South Asian heritage. Let’s share our stories and create a sense of unity and belonging within our community. There will be an opportunity for you to enjoy the exciting South Asian culture with food, drinks and music, henna artist, dance workshop.we’d love to see your moves to the dhol drummer!

SAHM first took place in 2020 and is now celebrated from 18th July through to 17th August each year. SAHM seeks to commemorate and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories and communities and seeks to understand the diverse heritage and cultures that continues the relationship between the UK and South Asia.
