Marking Pride 2020

InterInvest at Global Pride 2020 on the Piccadilly Lights

Pride march

Although the physical parade could not take place this year, InterInvest was still able to take part in Pride in London – the UK’s largest Pride event – on 27 June. The event became a large-scale virtual parade including images and messages of LGBT+ solidarity, and was part of a first ever Global Pride event broadcast on YouTube.

Our Pride 2020 message:

InterInvest drives LGBT+ inclusion in investment management, and while there has been great progress, there is still much our firms can do – together.

We also created our own short film to celebrate Pride. Featuring images from previous marches, the short film reflects on what Pride means, and highlights the charities we support.

How our member firms celebrated Pride

The LGBT+ networks within our member firms hosted a wide range of educational and celebratory events. But the most visible indication of a commitment to inclusion and diversity is to embed it into the brand by changing a firm’s most recognisable asset to a Pride version for the month of June.

Here are a few examples of how our member firms showed their commitment.

Pride Quiz

Last but not least, the InterInvest Social Committee hosted a drag-filled evening of questions and performance presided over by colourful Queen of Drag ‘Crayola’. Our virtual quiz night brought our community together and kept the celebrations going. It also raised over £500 for the charity Kaleidoscope and you can still contribute via our justgiving page
