Report: Do you remember the first time?

The Investment Association has published a report aimed at helping employers to recruit and retain LGBT+ talent and build inclusive workplaces.

The report draws on the experiences of LGBT+ professionals coming out in the investment management industry and what encouraged them to come out.

The report provides a number of recommendations to employers on how to recruit and retain LGBT+ talent.

  • Hardwiring diversity into the recruitment process.
  • Having a queer eye for the LGBT+ ally.
  • Helping employees manage their ‘gay job’ alongside their day job.
  • Do ask. Do tell.
  • Taking LGBT+ people seriously at work.
